OmeTVCam is an independent random video chat site. Here is what that means, why the name is what it is, and the few things we care about getting right.
Who we are
A random video chat site, run on its own
OmeTVCam is a place to meet strangers on camera. You open it, you get paired with one person from somewhere on the map, and you both decide whether the conversation is worth having. Video, voice and text all work the same way, and the next button is always there.
We run the site independently. It has its own accounts, its own moderation, its own support inbox and its own rules. Nothing here is borrowed from, shared with, or managed by another chat service.
OmeTVCam is not affiliated with ome.tv, and it has no connection to any other chat app or website. We are not a mirror, a partner, an official version or an unofficial one. The name describes a format, not a relationship.
The name
Why it is called OmeTVCam
People use "ome tv" as shorthand for a particular kind of chat: a camera, a stranger, and a quick decision to stay or move on. That shorthand is how a lot of people search for this experience, so the name says plainly what you will find. One stranger at a time, on camera, no feed to scroll and no audience watching.
Using a descriptive name comes with a responsibility. We do not describe another site's rules, features or policies as if we knew them, and we will never suggest we can fix an account somewhere else. When people search for ometv problems and land here, we answer what we honestly can and say clearly where our knowledge stops.
What we believe
A few opinions we hold about random chat
These shape how the site behaves more than any feature list does.
- Short calls are fineA brief hello that goes nowhere is not a failure. Most random conversations are brief, and the good ones stand out because of that.
- Next is normalMoving on is part of the format, not a rejection. We never penalise anyone for skipping at a human pace. There is a longer take on this in our notes on the next button.
- Nobody should pay by surpriseThe site is free to start. When something costs coins, we say so before it happens, and if your balance is short you are asked to top up rather than being charged mid-call. The coins page spells out what each charge is for.
- Adults only means adults onlyEveryone here must be 18 or older. That rule is not negotiable and accounts that break it are removed.
- Rules should be readableIf a policy needs a lawyer to understand it, it is not doing its job. We try to write ours so that anyone can follow them.

- Help with an account on another site. We have no access to it.
- A country picker. Matching is random by design.
- An apk file or app store listing. The site runs in your browser, and it can sit on your phone as an icon if you like.
- Promises that every stranger will be nice.

No. OmeTVCam is an independent site with its own accounts and moderation. It is not affiliated with ome.tv or any other chat service; the name only describes the one-stranger-on-camera format.

OmeTVCam is run independently by its own team, which handles moderation, support and the rules you see on the site. It is not operated by or on behalf of any other chat company.
Is OmeTVCam free?
Starting costs nothing: new visitors get free matches, and the Reward Center hands out more over time. Some things, such as extra matches after the free ones and private one-to-one calls, use coins.
Can OmeTVCam fix an account I have on a different chat site?
No. We have no connection to other services and cannot see or change anything there. For those accounts, use the support route of the site in question.
Is there an OmeTVCam app to download?
No apk exists, and nothing is listed in any app store. The site works in your mobile browser; save it to your home screen and a full-screen icon appears next to your apps.
